The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Director of Sales to lead our early go-to-market motion. You’ll be the first senior hire in sales, reporting directly to the CEO, and taking ownership of everything from pipeline generation to closing. This is a builder role—we’re not looking for someone who’s “been there, done that,” but someone who’s hungry and ready to lead.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the sales funnel end to end: from lead qualification to closing and expansion.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to shape GTM strategy and packaging.
  • Build and manage a small but mighty team of AEs and/or SDRs as we scale.
  • Collaborate with marketing and engineering to refine our messaging and positioning.
  • Systematize what works: build repeatable playbooks, dashboards, and tooling.
  • Help land and expand usage with modern infra and platform teams.

You Might Be a Fit If You...

  • Built from 0 to $10M+ ARR as an AE or early sales leader in a fast-moving B2B startup.
  • Were a top IC under a strong VP of Sales, and recently managed a small team—or are ready to.
  • Have deep empathy for technical buyers (Infra / DevOps / Platform engineers).
  • Know what it takes to sell to startups through mid-market, ideally with self-serve assist or usage-based pricing models.
  • Have domain experience in data infrastructure, cloud, or developer tools.
  • Thrive in early-stage chaos and want real ownership—not just a patch of turf.

Nice to Have

  • Redis or in-memory systems background.
  • Sold open-source or community-driven products before.
  • Experience working closely with technical founders.
