Events & Ecosystem Lead
Position Overview
We are seeking an Events & Ecosystem Lead to spearhead our event strategy and manage strategic sponsorships with the major cloud providers. This role is critical for amplifying Dragonfly’s brand presence in the market and strengthening relationships within the broader cloud and technology ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a dynamic communicator, highly creative, and dedicated to delivering exceptional event experiences that resonate with our audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global event strategy, including company-hosted events, webinars, meetups, and participation in industry conferences.
- Conceptualize event themes, agendas, formats, and run-of-show to drive engagement and brand awareness.
- Develop unique and engaging event content for both in-person and virtual events.
- Conference Sponsorships & Partnerships
- Identify and evaluate sponsorship opportunities at major tech and cloud conferences; negotiate contracts and manage relationships with event organizers.
- Build and nurture partnerships with relevant industry associations, media outlets, influencers, and other ecosystem players to elevate Dragonfly’s visibility.
- Event Execution & On-Site Management
- Oversee all logistical aspects of events, from venue selection and vendor management to budgeting and day-of coordination.
- Ensure seamless execution of events with a focus on attendee experience, brand consistency, and measurable outcomes.
- Own the Dragonfly booth presence at all events in which we participate.
- Cloud Partnerships
- Own official partnerships with AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Coordinate co-marketing events with these partners at their large annual events as well as smaller regional events.
- Coordinate other co-marketing opportunities with the cloud providers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to align event content, product demonstrations, and marketing campaigns.
- Work with Design and Content teams to create engaging marketing materials (booth designs, presentations, videos, etc.) that reflect Dragonfly’s brand identity.
- Measurement & Reporting
- Track event metrics (attendance, leads generated, ROI) to evaluate the success of each initiative.
- Present post-event reports with actionable insights and recommendations for continual improvement.
- Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate with vendors, optimize sponsorship packages, and monitor expenses to maximize ROI.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience planning and executing large-scale events and managing sponsorships, preferably within the B2B technology or SaaS sector.
- Cloud Ecosystem Knowledge: Proven understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with modern cloud technologies.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Creativity & Innovation: Demonstrated ability to develop fresh, impactful ideas and deliver memorable event experiences.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple complex projects, timelines, and budgets simultaneously.
- Collaboration: Team player who can effectively partner with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Analytical Mindset: Competent in using metrics and analytics to guide decisions and measure event success.
